Drywall Installation

A vital step in your home construction.

Dry wall is the most convenient way to create walls and dividers in a home or business. When installed properly, it will last for years to come. This is not the ideal do-it-yourself project for anyone who doesn't have the training, tools, or experience. Drywall is highly susceptible to moisture. If your installation isn't done properly, you open yourself to the risk of having the job done again in the future. Bring in experts with a solid reputation to make sure your finished project meets your expectations.

Bring in Someone Who is Equipped for the Job

Drywall experts have everything they need for a successful installation, including tools like measuring tapes and saws that are specifically designed to do the job. They know how to properly insert anchors and use mud to seal the drywall tape that creates seamless walls. They'll bring the proper lifts, ladders, and a large enough team to hang your drywall sheets safely. Your installation team will also keep the dust down, cleaning up when their work is completed.

Hiring a Contractor Means No Hassles for the Homeowner

Bringing in a drywall professional (like us) can give you peace of mind. You can expect a timeline that is much more convenient than trying to squeeze it in when you have free time. The process will begin by making sure the right type of drywall is chosen for the job. Also referred to as sheet rock, these panels can be made from flexible material that is 1/4 inch in thickness. This is intended for curved surfaces. We may recommend a type of sheet rock referred to as green-board if it is going to be used in the bathroom because it is resistant to dampness. Another type of sheet rock may be used in areas that will be exposed to high levels of heat. Feel free to ask us what type of drywall will be used for the project. From that point, trust the project will be in good hands.

Expect a Polished Appearance in the End

We will begin by evaluating the areas where the new wall surfaces will be mounted. We will take all necessary measurements because we know how important accuracy is for a job well done. In many cases, the ceiling will be done at the same time for the best results. These measurements will be used to carefully cut sheets of wallboard to fit the areas. As the board is mounted, anchors, otherwise known as fasteners, will secure it in place. Joists or straps should be identified and marked before the job begins to place anchors in the best location. A rotary cut-out tool should be used to allow access to ceiling fixtures or electrical boxes. We will locate studs before mounting wall panels to line up with the ceiling. We normally begin with the top before working our way down to the bottom portion of the wall. The board will need to be trimmed to accommodate windows and doors. Specific steps will be taken to address outside and inside corners. Mud and tape will be applied to cover the fasteners, creating a smooth surface that is ready for painting or wallpaper.
